FADER HELP

FADER FOR FCPX

Fader is a handy tool that allows you to create quick, consistent fades for several clips on your timeline. There are several varying categories to chose from including a basic fade, dip to color, umbra, darken, matte, ghost, and blur fades. Create fast fade effects that will fade multiple stacked elements at once or choose which layer and elements on the timeline you want to fade!

HOW IT WORKS

Drag and drop a fader title onto the timeline and stretch it across as many clips as you want. You can use the default time or change the duration of the title layers to make it longer or shorter. each BEGIN title layer starts the transition then each END layer finishes the transition. Quickly and easily place the title layers wherever you want. Combine and stack the title layers as well for multiple effects.

FADE EVERYTHING

Do you ever have several stacked elements on your timeline? Often you have a video, logo, and text going on and you’d like a fade-to-color effect to effect all of them at the same time. Add Fader over that portion of your project, stretch it across the desired area, set the parameters and there ya go! Everything below the Fader effect will fade to a color all in the same way. You no longer have to add separate fade transitions to each element and painstakingly match each one. Fader is fast and easy!

FADER OPTIONS

Fader comes with the following types of fading title transitions: basic, dip to color, umbra, darken, matte, ghost, and blur.

FADER IN FCPX

We have created Fader as a Title effect so it will be found in the Title section of the effects browser. We did this so you could easily move and stretch a fading effect around your timeline freely so you can make changes easily without messing up anything in your editing project.

Quickly add the Fader tool over the desired clip or clips on your timeline, set your parameters, and fade it all!
